The Russian government has signed a decree allowing visitors of UEFA Euro 2020 championship to enter Russia without a Visa. In order to travel to St. Petersburg fans would need to have a personalized FAN-ID.
The Visa-free entrance will start functioning 14 days prior to the first match and will end on the day of the final game. The Visa-free exit from the country will end 10 days after the last match.
The document also states that for the period of the championship the fans, journalists, volunteers, and football players are guaranteed with the free pass on all public transport in St. Petersburg and Leningradsky region.
The Euro-2020 will be held in 13 cities: London, Bucharest, Dublin, Glasgow, Brussels, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Budapest, Munich, Baku, Rome and St. Petersburg. The matches of the group stage will be held in St. Petersburg on 13th, 17th, and 22nd of June. The quarter-final will be held on the 3rd of July 2020.
