The VISA tests the pilot project of cash-withdrawal in Russia

Ekaterina Petelina, the head of Visa in Russia, has commented that considering the experience of other countries, where the service of cash withdrawal is already operating, they are sure that this new service will increase the trust of Russians to the non-cash operations.

The Visa pilot project for cash-withdrawal is now being tested in partnership with the creamery factory "Russian parmesan" and the Russian Agricultural Bank. Further, this feature will be implemented across other regions in Russia and will be available with the cards of other banks.

Now it is possible to withdraw money only at the cash points in the Istrinsky district of the Moscow Oblast. For this, it is necessary to complete the purchase with the card or a smart-phone and prove it with the fingerprint or PIN.

The service of the cash-withdrawal in the department stores is already available for the owners of the Visa cards in USA, UK, Slovakia, and Poland.

Moreover, already in summer this year, the service provided by Sberbank "Purchase with withdrawal" will be placed in use. Starting from July, this feature will be available in small and medium stores, and from September in large department stores.
