The ballets "Creation of the World" and "Lysistrata" will be staged by the Classical Ballet Theatre to commemorate the 85th anniversary of Natalya Kasatkina. The whole season the theatre will dedicate to the jubilee of their artistic director.
The "Creation of the World" will be staged on 12th of September on a new stage of the Bolshoi Theatre. This is a legendary ballet by Natalya Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasiliev on the music of Andrei Petrov. The play is based on the story of Adame and Eve by the motive of the famous drawings of French artist Jean Effel.
For more than a 30 years history of the performance, the interest towards it is still large, and today "the Creation of the World" is called the classic of the world's ballet art.
The Balley "Lysistrata", which is based on the homonymous comedy of Aristofan, will be performed on 5th of October in the State Kremlin Palace. The author of the music for this performance is Olga Petrova, the daughter of the composer Andrei Petrov. The ballet tells the story of Lysistrata who has inspired the women to end the war, by denying their husbands in completing the matrimonial duties.
