First visitors of St. Petersburg and Leningradsky region with free E-Visas

650 foreign visitors from 27 countries have visited St. Petersburg and Leningradsky region during the first weekend.

The majority of visitors came from the neighboring country Estonia, with fewer visitors from Latvia, Lithuania, Rumania, Finland, Germany, Poland, China, Philippines, Mexico, France, and Iran.

At the border crossing point, the tourists have had no problems with passing the passport control with a new type of document.

Russian Federation has enabled the free E-Visa for the citizens of 53 countries for visits to the St. Petersburg and Leningradsky region starting from the 1st of October. After the application approvement, the first tourists have been able to arrive already on the 5th of October.
